Meet The Team: Ahmed Dawood AI Mahrizi
Ahmed Dawood Al Mahrizi is a medical student at the University of Malta, balancing the
demands of medical school, the USMLE, leadership roles, and a growing list of research
projects, leading some to speculate he either doesn’t sleep or has broken the laws of
physics and unlocked stationary time dilation. As the Head of Education at Futures Forward
Research Institute, he is committed to making research more accessible, believing that the
unnecessary complexities of traditional academia should be streamlined for greater
efficiency and approachability. He serves as a student representative on the Board of
Studies for the Doctor of Medicine & Surgery program at his university, where he helps
shape academic policy (and occasionally wonders why he voluntarily signed up for more
responsibilities). His other roles include providing free English tutoring for students aiming to
study abroad, occasional volunteering at cancer care homes and hospitals, and serving as a
student representative on the quality assurance panel at his university, among others. His
research spans systematic reviews, meta-analyses, retrospective analyses, clinical studies,
and case reports, with a focus on surgery, cardiology, critical care, and more. When he's not
immersed in research or studying, he’s likely lost in thought, zoning out, or diving into one of
his many interests—all while trying to maintain some semblance of balance in the whirlwind
that is his schedule. His ultimate goal? To make meaningful contributions to medical
research, graduate as the best physician he can be, and somehow keep his sanity intact.
