Meet The Team: Aarsh Patel
As the Co-Director of Education for FFRI, I’m excited to help elevate the voice of our organization and connect more students across the country with the opportunities and impact that FFRI offers. I was drawn to this role because I believe in the mission of FFRI—to promote student-led research, collaboration, and academic growth across multiple medical schools. In particular, I hope to grow our digital presence so that students interested in research-intensive specialties can see FFRI as a natural launching point for their future careers.
My own passion lies in orthopedic medicine, which first took root during my time as a line combat medic deployed in Syria. In treating numerous orthopedic injuries, both among U.S. service members and civilians in local villages, I developed a deep appreciation for the complexity and innovation required in musculoskeletal care. Orthopedics is a field where innovative research and clinical advancement go hand in hand—and I see FFRI as a vital platform for students like myself to engage in meaningful, career-shaping research early on.
Through my work with FFRI, I aim to make the organization more accessible, visible, and inspiring for students who want to build their future through research and community.
