Meet The Team: Aarsh Patel
As the Social Media Chair for FFRI, I’m excited to help elevate the voice of our organization and connect more students across the country with the opportunities and impact that FFRI offers. I was drawn to this role because I believe in the mission of FFRI—to promote student-led research, collaboration, and academic growth across multiple medical schools. In particular, I hope to grow our digital presence so that students interested in research-intensive specialties can see FFRI as a natural launching point for their future careers.
My own passion lies in orthopedic medicine, which first took root during my time as a line combat medic deployed in Syria. In treating numerous orthopedic injuries, both among U.S. service members and civilians in local villages, I developed a deep appreciation for the complexity and innovation required in musculoskeletal care. Orthopedics is a field where innovative research and clinical advancement go hand in hand—and I see FFRI as a vital platform for students like myself to engage in meaningful, career-shaping research early on.
Through my work with FFRI, I aim to make the organization more accessible, visible, and inspiring for students who want to build their future through research and community.
