Meet The Team: Alexis Chow

Alexis Chow is currently a medical student at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine aspiring to be an orthopedic surgeon. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science at Stockton University with a dual degree in Biological Sciences and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Holistic Health. After working as a patient care tech in the underserved area of Atlantic City, she became dedicated to facing the inequities in healthcare and researching better ways to help underserved populations. She believes that mentorship of students from diverse backgrounds will help bridge the gaps in healthcare. Currently, she volunteers at Special Olympics events and at food distribution sites in Atlantic County, New Jersey. Her current research interests include orthopedics, pain management, rehabilitation, and preventative medicine. Apart from volunteering and academia, her hobbies include drawing, baking, playing piano, and outdoor fitness.
