Meet The Team: Kyle Copenhaver

Kyle Copenhaver, DO is a resident physician at the Mississippi State Hospital in Whitfield, MS and a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Hailing from Knoxville, TN, his introduction to FFRI came at a conference in 2023 in Philadelphia, PA, where he met members as they were discussing current and future projects. He introduced himself, they bonded over the rigors of medical school, and his involvement with FFRI grew from there. Dr. Copenhaver first kindled his interest in research in his undergraduate studies at East Tennessee State University in the Applied Psychology Lab and the Electrochemistry Lab. His research interests include rare neurological conditions, traumatic brain injury and its sequelae, and schizophrenia spectrum management. In his free time, Dr. Copenhaver enjoys reading and listening to audiobooks, horseback riding, weightlifting, spending time with his mother, meditation, and poetry.
